Senior Inventory Control Specialist (Defense Technology)

Location: On-site in El Segundo, California, United States. Relocation assistance may be provided. Applicants must meet U.S. government export control requirements.

Salary: $38.00–$45.00 per hour

What you will do

• Oversee material receiving, inspection, documentation, labeling, storage, and placement across stockrooms and warehouses.
• Maintain accurate inventory transactions in ERP and MRP systems.
• Design stockroom layouts and improve material flow, picking, kitting, staging, and replenishment processes.
• Lead cycle counts, investigate inventory variances, and reconcile discrepancies through root-cause analysis.
• Enforce material traceability, serialization, and lot-control standards across receiving, storage, and assembly.
• Partner with Quality, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Engineering, and Operations on non-conforming materials, vendor returns, production priorities, and SOP improvements.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or material flow operations in a technical or manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on experience receiving, storing, picking, counting, and moving physical inventory.
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP platforms such as Acumatica, NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or similar.
• Experience with cycle counts, inventory audits, root-cause analysis, material traceability, serialization, and lot control.
• Ability to perform daily warehouse, receiving, and material handling work and lift materials as required.
• Must satisfy U.S. government export control requirements by holding qualifying U.S. status or obtaining the required U.S. Department of State authorizations.

Nice to have

• Experience in aerospace, defense, electronics, robotics, automotive, or other hardware manufacturing.
• Experience in low-volume, high-mix manufacturing or at a startup and growing hardware company.
• Familiarity with production material control, kitting, work orders, ERP/MRP integrations, lean manufacturing, 5S, or continuous improvement.
