Business Operations Manager (Fintech)

Location: Remote (US) or hybrid in New York City, San Francisco, Washington, D.C., or Detroit, MI.

Salary: $120,000–$160,000 base pay plus bonus and benefits.

What you will do

• Own day-to-day business operations for the existing FBO savings plan account, HYSA, and future deposit product features.
• Monitor product health, operational risks, and KPIs; identify trends and recommend improvements.
• Manage relationships with deposit-product bank partners, processors, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
• Build and refine procedures for escheatment, compliance, customer support, exception handling, and related operations.
• Investigate operational issues, data anomalies, and system behavior, leading root-cause analysis and long-term fixes.
• Create documentation, align teams on decisions and risks, and present recommendations to leadership.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in Business Operations, Strategy, Product Operations, or a highly cross-functional operational role.
• Ability to operate effectively in ambiguity, take ownership, and figure out complex problems.
• Exceptional communication skills and the ability to make complex systems simple.
• Strong project management skills and a bias toward action.
• Comfort with data analysis and turning metrics into decisions, including Looker and pivot tables.
• Experience working with partners, vendors, and technical and non-technical stakeholders while balancing diplomacy and assertiveness.
• Ability to move between strategy and execution and understand the overall system while handling detailed implementation.

• Experience in regulated fintech.
• Experience launching and scaling deposit products at a fintech.
