Member of Technical Staff, Forward Deployed Engineer (AI)

Location: Remote (USA); travel to customer locations required as needed. U.S. citizenship is required.

Salary: $150,000–$300,000 base salary plus equity.

What you will do

• Work directly with enterprise customers to understand their businesses, operating environments, and workflows.
• Translate operational needs and business requirements into AI-driven solutions, technical architectures, implementation plans, and measurable outcomes.
• Design, develop, deploy, and improve production-grade AI agents tailored to customer-specific problems.
• Build data pipelines, APIs, integrations, and supporting systems for deployment within customer environments.
• Develop evaluation systems, measure agent performance, and use results to drive technical iteration.
• Partner with Product, Platform, Research, Engineering, and Operations teams; codify reusable engineering practices and resolve customer-environment issues.

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience, including full-stack development with strong backend capabilities.
• Demonstrated experience building and shipping AI applications in production environments.
• Strong understanding of AI agent architectures, evaluation methodologies, and systems for reliably developing and operating AI agents.
• Experience developing scalable backend services, APIs, data pipelines, and system integrations.
• Ability to design evaluation systems and use performance data to guide technical iteration.
• Experience translating business and operational requirements into technical solutions and moving between solution architecture, hands-on implementation, deployment, and troubleshooting.
• Experience working directly with enterprise customers or stakeholders in complex or ambiguous environments.
• Strong systems-thinking, problem-solving, written communication, and verbal communication skills, including communication with senior stakeholders.
• Ability and willingness to travel to customer locations as required; U.S. citizenship is required.
