Head of Technical Delivery (Jira)

Location: Remote in Poland; periodic travel required.

What you will do

• Design, implement, and evolve lean delivery frameworks for distributed engineering teams across time zones.
• Map cross-functional dependencies, maintain risk registers, and resolve delivery blockers before they affect the roadmap.
• Build metrics-driven tracking systems in Jira using operational data, cycle time, and throughput metrics.
• Assess end-to-end delivery flows, identify systemic inefficiencies, and introduce structural improvements to increase engineering throughput.
• Partner with Engineering Leaders and Product Managers to align capacity, resolve standoffs, and manage complex delivery trade-offs.
• Manage and scale the delivery team and establish an enterprise-wide community of practice across an approximately 400-person engineering organization.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience leading technical delivery or engineering functions at a global scale.
• Experience building a delivery or PMO function from the ground up in a fast-paced, high-growth technology environment.
• Advanced, hands-on Jira expertise for mapping cross-team dependencies, building delivery plans, and tracking flow metrics such as cycle time and throughput.
• Exceptional ability to lead and influence senior Engineering and Product stakeholders without direct hierarchical authority.
• Deep experience with agile at scale, such as SAFe, and Domain-Driven Design.
• Experience managing remote delivery teams across significant time zones.
