Managing Director, Delivery

Location: Chicago, Illinois, United States. Hybrid work with teams in the office an average of four days per week.

Base salary: $100,000–$230,000 USD annually.

What you will do

• Lead, coach, and grow the Delivery capability and program management team.
• Orchestrate a large, multidisciplinary military-sector program across enterprise technology, product, and integrated creative tracks.
• Manage cross-track dependencies, roadmaps, milestones, escalations, decisions, tradeoffs, and recovery plans.
• Lead the evolution of the SAFe practice from Essential to Large Solution or Full SAFe, including rollout governance and execution.
• Own scope planning, estimation, pricing, profitability, resource allocation, burn rates, budgets, and reconciliations.
• Partner with Account, Strategy, Product, Enterprise Solutions, technology, and platform leads.

Requirements

• 12+ years of experience in delivery or program leadership, PMO, and/or client leadership, ideally in an agency or consulting setting.
• Proven experience standing up and leading successful program management teams.
• Hands-on SAFe evolution experience with demonstrated experience and certification at Large Solution and/or Full SAFe.
• Enterprise and cross-track program leadership on large multidisciplinary programs combining enterprise technology, product, and integrated creative, including digital and traditional work.
• Familiarity with cloud migration, such as AWS, and regulated or federal compliance environments, with the discipline to deliver against externally mandated deadlines.
• Financial and pricing expertise covering defensible estimation, rate and scope discipline, profitability and utilization management, and cost defense under external scrutiny.
• Partnership and vendor management across multiple technology and platform partners.
• Strong PM operations skills, including meeting management, actionable next-step capture, prioritization, and operational rigor.
• Interest in using AI as a delivery tool and familiarity with Smartsheet, Excel, Monday.com, Workday, and Jira.
