Director, AI Engineering

Location: Hybrid office position in designated Tech Market locations: New York City, Louisville, KY, or Dallas, TX

Salary: $189,400–$260,500 per year, plus eligibility for a bonus incentive plan

What you will do

• Lead the strategy, architecture, and delivery of enterprise-scale agentic AI capabilities.
• Build and scale foundational AI services, frameworks, and tools for generative AI applications.
• Design reusable platform components such as LLM orchestration frameworks, experiment tracking, evaluation pipelines, model gateways, and observability systems.
• Lead and grow an AI engineering organization while mentoring engineers and supporting career development.
• Align platform development with enterprise architecture, security, data engineering, DevOps, and application teams.
• Establish engineering practices covering CI/CD, automated testing, observability, incident response, scalability, and reliability.

Requirements

• Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of AI/ML engineering experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Proficiency with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow and PyTorch, Python, and cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Proven experience leading and growing high-performing engineering teams.
• Strong communication, analytical, strategic planning, and complex problem-solving skills.
