Associate Instructional Designer, 6-12 ELA Transcript

Location: Remote within the United States; applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States.

Salary: $40,000–$55,000 annually.

What you will do

• Develop instructional materials, curriculum, digital tools, and learning solutions for K–12 literacy programs in print and digital formats.
• Apply design principles, backwards design, and design thinking in routine instructional design work.
• Contribute to concept meetings, manuscript preparation, digital asset builds, metadata tagging, concept mapping, and digital editing.
• Maintain accurate build documentation and support product schedules, requirements, and goals.
• Make substantial contributions to accessibility and collaborate on identifying, testing, troubleshooting, and defining technical bugs and platform or authoring-tool enhancements.
• Quality-assure vendor work and collaborate with content, product management, UX, creative media, and other cross-functional teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Instructional Technology, Instructional Design, or a related field.
• 0–2 years of experience in digital content development involving teaching and learning materials.
• Experience with authoring tools, learning management systems, and content management systems.
• Ability to visualize and create animated and interactive content.
• Familiarity with Agile methodology and practices, including collaboration in iterative workflows.
• Authorization to work for any employer within the United States.

Nice to have

• Previous teaching experience in grades 6–12.
