Professional Learning Specialist (ELA) - New Jersey

Location: Hybrid in New Jersey with onsite district work required; this is not a remote position. Travel up to 80% is required, including overnight stays and transportation by car, plane, and/or public transportation. A valid driver's license is required.

Salary: $60,750–$99,750 per year.

What you will do

• Support district-wide adoption of the Ready and i-Ready online diagnostic and instruction programs.
• Deliver professional development to teachers, coaches, and leaders on implementing Ready and i-Ready.
• Provide onsite classroom support, including lesson planning, pacing, data analysis, and instructional application.
• Work with district and site leaders to develop and revise annual professional development plans and schedules.
• Monitor and support program implementation and identify evidence of successes and challenges.
• Collaborate with the Sales team, educators, students, and school district stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 2+ years of experience teaching ELA, coaching ELA teachers, and providing ELA professional development.
• Working knowledge of the Common Core State Standards for ELA for Grades K–8, or comparable state standards, including content and practice standards.
• Fluency using digital tools, including online assessments, and comfort discussing and applying data with teachers and leaders.
• Understanding of adult learning principles and their application to professional development.
• Ability to manage, monitor, evaluate, and ensure the integrity of program implementations.
• Ability to provide high-quality classroom coaching so teachers can effectively deliver hirify.global solutions.
• Willingness to travel.

Nice to have

• Experience teaching ELA at the secondary 6–12 level.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in ELA or ELA education.
• Understanding of Math Standards for K–8.
