Academic Designer, Dual Literacy TK-8

Location: Remote within the United States; applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States.

Salary: $54,500–$62,000 annually. Base pay may vary by job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location; medical and other benefits may be provided depending on the position.

What you will do

• Assist with developing elementary Dual Literacy instructional materials for print and digital formats.
• Produce accurate, error-free instructional content that meets curriculum standards and appropriate reading, grammar, and style requirements.
• Follow approved development workflows and meet intermediate and final schedule dates.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet market requirements, project schedules, and product goals.
• Organize and prioritize multiple projects in an Agile environment while adapting to changing demands.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Education, Communications, or Hispanic Languages and Literature.
• 2+ years of experience in educational publishing and/or significant editorial experience.
• Experience with digital curriculum development and digital educational products.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, including meeting deadlines while managing multiple projects.
• Ability to adapt to changing requirements and prioritize the product backlog based on customer feedback and business value.
• Native Spanish-speaking ability is highly preferred.

Nice to have

• Experience using Jira to manage sprint backlogs, track progress, and report on key Agile metrics.
• Classroom teaching experience.
