Instructional Designer, Dual Literacy (ELA/SLA)

Location: Remote within the United States; applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States. The role may also be based in a hirify.global office. Project Status Worker role ending on 08/31/2027.

Salary: $52,000–$65,000 annually.

What you will do

• Plan and develop instructional materials, curriculum, digital tools, and learning solutions for Dual Literacy programs delivered in print and digital formats.
• Participate in concept meetings, manuscript reviews, storyboard creation, alpha and beta builds, prototypes, and iterative product development.
• Support product builds by performing quality control on English and Spanish digital assets, meeting schedules, and reviewing vendor and freelancer work.
• Create build documentation, guidelines, templates, metadata, concept maps, script go-bys, digital edits, and launch trackers.
• Contribute to accessibility, curriculum mapping, Agile planning, user testing, and cross-functional product discussions.
• Provide informal training and help troubleshoot technical issues and enhancements in authoring tools and the learning platform.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Instructional Technology, Instructional Design, or a related field.
• Experience working with Spanish-language materials.
• 1–3 years of experience in digital content development involving teaching and learning materials.
• Experience working on multiple projects with tight deliverables and budgets.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to navigate ambiguity.
• Experience with authoring tools, learning management systems, and content management systems, including some ability to create and visualize interactive digital content.
• A solution-oriented mindset focused on practical and effective problem-solving.

Nice to have

• Previous experience as a Spanish, ESL, SLA, or dual-language teacher.
• Previous K-5 teaching experience.
• Curiosity about emerging technologies, including AI, and their application to instructional design and content development.
