Senior Software Developer (AI)

Location: Remote in Nova Scotia, Canada; Remote in Ontario, Canada; or nationwide within Canada.

What you will do

• Design, estimate, develop, test, document, and maintain components of a commercial on-premises enterprise software product.
• Contribute to new development and maintenance in a C#/.NET codebase.
• Evaluate and establish practical best practices for AI coding agents and agentic development workflows.
• Improve developer productivity, code quality, automated testing, troubleshooting, technical documentation, and delivery using AI-powered development tools.
• Mentor team members in the effective, responsible, and secure use of AI coding tools.
• Participate in Agile/SCRUM delivery, design discussions, code reviews, testing, release readiness, technical decisions, and collaboration with product management, quality engineering, support, and developers.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional C# and .NET development experience.
• Microsoft SharePoint and/or Microsoft Teams development experience.
• Experience with O365, CSOM, Microsoft SharePoint Migration API, or Microsoft Graph API.
• Experience with Microsoft technologies including Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, Exchange, Office 365, SharePoint, IIS, DNS, OneDrive, Windows Server, or Microsoft SQL Server.
• Computer Science undergraduate degree or equivalent practical experience.
• Professional experience with Claude Code, Claude, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Windsurf, or similar AI-powered development platforms, including AI coding agents or agentic development workflows.
• Demonstrated ability to use AI coding tools to improve productivity, code quality, testing, debugging, refactoring, or technical documentation.
• Experience with Azure DevOps, Jira, or comparable DevOps tooling, including test integration in the development pipeline.
• Experience with unit testing, mocking, automation, integration testing, code coverage, code reviews, continuous integration, object-oriented design, debugging, troubleshooting, Agile teams, and SCRUM delivery.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, collaboration skills, and leadership, mentoring, or component-level design and delivery ownership.

Nice to have

• Experience developing and maintaining Windows Forms applications.
• Experience with Windows networking infrastructure, virtualization technologies such as Azure VMs, and enterprise deployment environments.
• Experience securing APIs, dependency injection, and secure software development practices.
• JavaScript, TypeScript, or HTML experience.
