Senior Software Developer (C++)

What you will do

• Contribute to the architecture and technical delivery of protocol adapters across the hardware appliance and software broker.
• Design and build complex, performance-critical features in multi-threaded C++.
• Research and prototype messaging protocol features, networking techniques, and performance improvements.
• Lead design and code reviews, mentor intermediate and junior developers, and establish engineering best practices.
• Collaborate with product management, hardware engineering, support, customers, and other R&D teams.
• Define adapter testing and performance strategies and resolve complex customer-found defects and performance escalations.

Requirements

• 10+ years of software development experience, including 5+ years writing multi-threaded, performance-oriented C++.
• Expertise in C++, concurrency, low-level memory management, and debugging complex applications.
• Experience designing and building high-throughput, low-latency systems.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, with the ability to work with Linux kernel behavior and hardware interfaces.
• Proficiency with AI coding tools such as Claude Code and sound judgment when using them in performance-critical code.
• Proven technical leadership, mentoring, communication, and customer-facing defect-resolution experience.

Nice to have

• Network programming with POSIX sockets and HTTP/REST client implementation.
• Linux latency tuning, performance profiling, kernel-bypass networking, and hardware counters.
• Messaging protocols including MQTT, AMQP, REST, or Kafka.
• Experience with network processors, TLS, open-source projects, protocol standards, patents, or conference talks.
