Manager, Business Applications TM1 (IBM Planning Analytics)

Location: Remote within the United States; applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States.

Salary: $114,000–$170,000 annually, with a possible annual bonus and benefits.

What you will do

• Lead the architecture, design, implementation, development, and maintenance of IBM Planning Analytics (TM1) models, including cubes, dimensions, rules, TurboIntegrator processes, and feeders.
• Optimize system performance and scalability across multiple cloud-based IBM Planning Analytics instances.
• Manage and mentor TM1 developers and analysts, oversee project delivery, timelines, resource allocation, and development standards.
• Partner with Finance, FP&A, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Oversee system maintenance, upgrades, security, troubleshooting, data integrations, dashboards, reports, budgeting, forecasting, and scenario planning.
• Provide audit documentation, manage SOX 404 compliance, and request and review SOC 1 documents for owned systems.

Requirements

• 8–10+ years of experience with IBM Planning Analytics (TM1), including managing multiple cloud-based IBM Planning Analytics instances.
• 4–5 years of managerial experience.
• Strong knowledge of TM1 system architecture, data modeling, TurboIntegrator, rules, feeders, and financial budgeting, planning, and forecasting processes.
• Experience leading teams and projects, with strong leadership, problem-solving, analytical thinking, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Knowledge of SQL, data warehousing, and ETL tools.
• Familiarity with Agile or Scrum methodologies.
• Technical experience with IBM Planning Analytics, Planning Analytics Workspace, Planning Analytics for Excel, MDX, REST API, Windows Server Administration, and ETL tools.
• Finance-focused business acumen covering record to report, budgeting, planning and forecasting, and product analysis, with attention to data accuracy.
