Planner (Manufacturing)

Location: Salt Lake City, Utah, USA; onsite at the Matrix manufacturing location. Eligible candidates must be U.S. citizens, U.S. nationals, lawful permanent residents, certain temporary residents, refugees, or asylees.

What you will do

• Manage production schedules for assigned assets, reserve raw materials, coordinate deliveries to the production floor, and track operational performance against the schedule.
• Release production orders and create shop-floor paperwork for operations.
• Coordinate with the planning manager and Planner II to manage deviations from the production plan.
• Manage inventory for assigned products, including reserving inventory for shipments and ensuring FIFO while preventing orphaned inventory.
• Prioritize rework based on shipment requirements.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required; a Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
• At least 3 years of manufacturing experience required.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities, superior oral and written communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
• Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems required.
• Current computer literacy, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other Microsoft programs.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret customer specifications and requirements.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Nice to have

• At least 3 years of planning and scheduling experience in a continuous-process manufacturing environment.
• Inventory control or bills of material management experience.
• APICS certification.
• Proficiency in part definition, bills of material, and capacity planning.
• Knowledge of Microsoft AX.
