Production Planner (Manufacturing)

Location: Hopkinsville, Kentucky, USA; onsite

What you will do

• Manage production capacity and coordinate timely order processing for the Hopkinsville facility.
• Assign shop orders to appropriate work centers and maintain the production plan.
• Work with Operations and Customer Service to prioritize production according to customer demand and production efficiency.
• Communicate schedule updates, provide daily Operations updates, and generate production reports.
• Support new technology and ERP system implementation as the plant point person.
• Assist with monthly and annual inventories.

Requirements

• High school diploma required.
• Knowledge of ERP or MRP manufacturing software required; BPCS knowledge is preferred.
• Broad knowledge of production planning, manufacturing, inventory, and customer focus.
• Experience with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to use a computer keyboard for data entry and to speak, hear, see, and sit for extended periods.

Nice to have

• Four-year degree in Business Management or a related field.
• Knowledge of the pulp and paper industry.
• APICS involvement and certification.
• BPCS experience.
