Production Planner (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Plan and maintain manufacturing production schedules, departmental workflows, and supply plans for components and finished products.
• Coordinate communication between Customer Service and production regarding customer deliveries, product costs, shop schedules, inventory, and efficiency.
• Initiate work orders, manage lot sizes, monitor MRP messages, and support continuous production flow.
• Review planned order execution, manage due dates, and coordinate contingency plans when production deviations affect delivery commitments.
• Coordinate materials and subcontract operations, monitor inventory, and manage excess and obsolete items.
• Review production capacity, develop short- and long-term capacity plans, and recommend alternatives when demand exceeds capacity.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Materials Management or a related field with internship experience, or a high school diploma with significant relevant experience.
• Four years of experience in planning, production, and materials management.
• Professional experience in an MRP II environment.
• Ability to manage production schedules, inventory levels, work orders, capacity constraints, and customer delivery requirements.
