Planner/Scheduler (Medical Device Manufacturing): Building and maintaining finite-capacity production schedules for a high-mix machining operation with an accent on supply planning, machine capacity, material availability, and downstream flow. Focus on coordinating NPI and CAPEX launches, resolving production constraints, analyzing ERP and Power BI data, and improving schedule stability and on-time delivery.
Location: Houston Plant, Houston, Texas, United States; onsite work in an office and manufacturing environment. Applicants must already have full-time work authorization in the United States and must not require employment visa sponsorship.
Company
hirify.global is an innovation-driven medical technology company developing clinically differentiated orthopedic solutions, products, services, and integrated technologies.
What you will do
Build, maintain, and continuously adjust daily and weekly finite-capacity production schedules for a high-mix machining and discrete manufacturing environment.
Sequence work orders, manage MRP outputs and ERP data, release and monitor work orders in NetSuite, and balance demand, inventory, materials, tooling, machine capacity, changeovers, and downstream constraints.
Coordinate outside processing, follow up on delays, and develop recovery plans to protect customer and launch commitments.
Own supply planning and production scheduling for NPI launches, manufacturing transfers, and CAPEX initiatives, including integrated roadmaps and back-scheduled production requirements.
Monitor machine loading, utilization, bottlenecks, capacity gaps, inventory, schedule adherence, and operational KPIs; present risks and recommended actions to stakeholders and leadership.
Drive improvements in scheduling accuracy, production flow, changeover performance, capacity utilization, and on-time delivery, supporting Lean and Six Sigma initiatives.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, operations management, business administration, engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
4–5 years of progressively responsible experience in production planning, master scheduling, supply planning, manufacturing operations, or a related discipline.
Experience scheduling production in a finite-capacity manufacturing environment, including hands-on work-order management and outside-processing coordination.
Working knowledge of MRP and ERP systems for production planning, inventory management, and work-order execution; experience with NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or a comparable ERP system, with NetSuite preferred.
Working knowledge of Power BI or a comparable BI platform and the ability to develop and interpret operational dashboards and reports.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, including the ability to prioritize competing requirements, identify risks, and coordinate resolution across departments.
Ability to sit and stand for long periods and work in both office and manufacturing environments.
Full-time authorization to work in the United States now and in the future without employment visa sponsorship.
Nice to have
Experience in medical device or other FDA-regulated manufacturing, including GMP and Device History Records.
Understanding of machining setups, changeovers, cycle times, routings, machine capabilities, and production constraints.
Experience with Power BI data modeling and connecting BI tools to ERP or manufacturing data.
Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma training or certification.
Experience in a high-mix, low-to-medium-volume discrete manufacturing environment.
Culture & Benefits
Collaboration with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Procurement, Operations, and Program Management.
Medical, dental, and vision insurance.
Spending and savings accounts, a 401(k) plan, income protection plans, and discounted insurance rates.
Vacation, sick leave, holidays, and legal services.
Equal employment opportunities and reasonable accommodation practices.
