Senior Accounting Specialist (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Maintain the general ledger and prepare recurring and nonrecurring journal entries.
• Handle revenue recognition for sales contracts, accruals, prepaids, payroll, and other assigned entries.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations, resolve reconciling items, and analyze P&L activity and variances.
• Support month-end and year-end close, management reporting, budgeting and forecasting activities, and financial statement audits.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Improve close, costing, reconciliation, ERP, automation, business policy, and procedure processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 4–6 years of progressive accounting experience; manufacturing experience is preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP, particularly inventory and ASC 606 revenue recognition.
• Experience with month-end close, account reconciliations, and journal entries in a deadline-driven setting.
• Proficiency with an ERP system, specifically SAP.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Applicants must qualify as a US Person for applicable U.S. export control requirements.

Nice to have

• CPA certification or progress toward certification.
• Familiarity with SOX compliance and internal control testing.
