R&D Synthetic Chemistry Technician (Polymer and Organic Synthesis)

Location: US-DE-Wilmington; onsite

Salary: $26.08–$40.75 per hour, plus eligibility for bonus, stock, and benefits

Work within the hirify.global Chemistries and Supplies Division, developing silica and polymeric particles for liquid chromatography consumables.

What you will do

• Support the design and development of silica or polymeric beads and polymeric surfaces for liquid chromatography consumables.
• Perform hands-on organic and/or polymer synthesis, modification, and functionalization at laboratory scale.
• Conduct laboratory work safely under EHS regulations, use required personal protective equipment, and document experiments in electronic laboratory notebooks.
• Perform analytical and materials characterization to understand and optimize synthetic processes.
• Assist with technology transfer from laboratory prototypes to reproducible and economical large-scale manufacturing processes.
• Collaborate with local R&D and manufacturing teams and the global R&D organization.

Requirements

• B.S. or Associate degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Hands-on experience with organic and/or polymer synthesis, modification, functionalization, and application.
• Familiarity with analytical characterization of particles, polymers, or materials.
• Ability to follow detailed operating procedures, document experimental work, and comply with required safety protocols.
• Excellent teamwork skills.
