R&D Formulation Technician (Semiconductor Materials)

What you will do

• Conduct laboratory experiments and scientific investigations for new materials, formulations, and technologies.
• Support the development of spin-on photolithography materials used in semiconductor applications.
• Prepare technical documentation, experimental protocols, analyses, reports, and quantitative data.
• Evaluate scientific concepts and structure-property relationships through applied research.
• Collaborate with research, engineering, and application teams during product development, validation, scale-up, and commercialization.
• Troubleshoot formulation and materials challenges using analytical testing and root-cause investigation techniques.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related scientific discipline.
• 1–2 years of laboratory experience in materials science, chemical synthesis, formulations, or product development.
• Strong understanding of laboratory safety procedures and documentation standards.
• Analytical, investigative, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced technical research environment.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States and work on-site in Marlborough, MA.

Nice to have

• Experience with photolithography, photo-patterning, or semiconductor fabrication.
• Familiarity with computational modeling, scientific computing, or laboratory data-management tools.
• Experience supporting products from research and development through commercialization.
