What you will do

• Perform polymer and organic synthesis of monomers, oligomers, and polymers at laboratory scale from 100 mL to 20 L.
• Support synthetic route development and optimization, including reaction setup, monitoring, work-up, purification, yield assessment, and preparation of electronics-related formulations.
• Operate, maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot GPC, HPLC, UPLC, NMR, and related analytical instruments.
• Perform additional characterization using GC, UV-Vis, FT-IR, thermal analysis, titrations, solids testing, and viscosity measurements.
• Document experimental plans, raw data, conclusions, batch records, and technical reports; communicate findings to project leaders.
• Support laboratory operations, ordering, shipping, housekeeping, safety, team meetings, and future cross-training in filtration, formulation, dry lab, and fab work.

Requirements

• B.S. or M.Sc. in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a closely related discipline; Ph.D. candidates are not considered.
• Hands-on academic or industrial experience with organic and/or polymer synthesis, solution handling, reaction setup, and basic purification.
• Hands-on experience with GPC, NMR, and at least one of HPLC or UPLC, or demonstrated ability to learn these tools quickly.
• Experience working safely in a wet-chemistry laboratory with chemicals, solvents, and laboratory equipment.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, procedural accuracy, repeatability, teamwork, and clear written and verbal English communication.
