Senior Associate, Strategic Finance (Growth) (Fintech)

Location: San Francisco, CA, USA; four days a week in the office and Fridays from home for employees near an office

Base salary: $119,000–$165,000 USD annually, plus potential bonuses, equity, and benefits

What you will do

• Partner with Finance, Marketing, and Product leadership to support growth strategy, define success metrics, and measure initiatives across the user lifecycle.
• Develop and maintain reporting that helps business leaders track performance against expectations.
• Improve forecasting processes, systems, and tooling to reflect growth dynamics and increase scalability and automation.
• Lead cohort-based analyses and deep dives across acquisition and engagement by extracting, visualizing, and synthesizing data.
• Contribute to earnings preparation and executive narratives by translating complex user-growth analyses into clear external performance stories.
• Use automation and emerging AI capabilities to improve reporting and workflows.

Requirements

• 6+ years of relevant experience in Strategic Finance, investment banking, private equity, consulting, venture capital, or a related field, ideally in a high-growth technology environment.
• Exceptional ability to build scalable, efficient, and intuitive financial models.
• Prior experience with cohort data and ROI analysis.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to synthesize complex findings into concise, actionable insights.
• High attention to detail and a strong ownership mindset.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver accurate work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work and influence cross-functionally with minimal guidance and communicate weekly with cross-functional partners and senior leadership.

Nice to have

• Experience with Looker and SQL.
• Familiarity with the marketing ecosystem, acquisition channels, and channel KPIs.
