Software Engineer (Java)

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade applications and web services using Java, JavaScript, Spring Boot, and JavaScript-based frameworks.
• Build and consume secure, scalable RESTful APIs for web and enterprise applications.
• Design, query, and optimize Oracle and MySQL databases, including stored procedures, performance tuning, and query optimization.
• Deploy, monitor, operate, troubleshoot, and resolve issues in applications running on OCI, AWS, and Azure.
• Contribute to code reviews, architectural decisions, technical design discussions, and improvements to system quality and performance.
• Collaborate with product, QA, and DevOps teams while ensuring application security, scalability, reliability, and maintainability.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong hands-on experience building and maintaining enterprise-grade Java applications using Spring Boot and/or other Java-based frameworks.
• Experience with JavaScript, Angular, and/or similar frameworks.
• Experience with Linux and shell scripting.
• Solid foundation in object-oriented programming and clean architecture principles.
• Proven expertise in designing and consuming secure, scalable RESTful APIs.
• Strong command of Oracle and MySQL, including database design, query optimization, performance tuning, and stored procedures.
• Experience deploying, monitoring, and operating applications on cloud platforms such as OCI, AWS, and Azure.
• Strong system design skills focused on scalability, high availability, reliability, and maintainability.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins.

Nice to have

• Exposure to enterprise design patterns.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Copilot and Cursor.
• Exposure to AI/ML integration and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
• Knowledge of emerging technologies and experience proposing technical improvements.
