Lead Technical Analyst (Microsoft Access)

What you will do

• Assess the architecture, functionality, data structure, integrations, performance, security, and operational dependencies of a complex Microsoft Access reporting database.
• Gather and document business, reporting, data, and user requirements with business and technology stakeholders.
• Evaluate technology platforms and solution options based on capabilities, risks, costs, scalability, support needs, and enterprise standards.
• Develop and present a future-state recommendation for improving system stability, reporting, data integrity, security, scalability, and maintainability.
• Create an implementation roadmap covering priorities, resources, dependencies, data migration, validation, change management, and risk mitigation.
• Prepare executive-ready documentation and analysis to support solution approval and transition from the current database environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; an additional four years of relevant experience may substitute for the degree. Eight years of relevant systems or technical analysis experience is required.
• Expert knowledge of Microsoft Access, SAP, SQL, and project management.
• Expert ability to navigate complex systems and deliver quality solutions within budget and schedule.
• Expert ability to understand projects and concepts in relation to high-level business objectives.
• Expert knowledge of architecture, application development, data structures, and analysis techniques and methods.
• Expert proficiency in reading security patterns and audit reports to adhere to standards.
• Expert understanding of project management and translating organizational objectives into goals.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team-based environment.

Nice to have

• Advanced degree.
• Experience with Oracle and enterprise reporting environments.
