Application System Analyst Lead (Epic)

Location: San Antonio, TX, US; onsite, Monday-Friday, 8AM-5PM. May require travel and additional hours during critical problems.

What you will do

• Lead application support and coordinate Incident, Problem, Request, and Change Management activities across related Information Services teams.
• Represent the focus area through implementation phases including build, configuration, testing, go-live support, and optimization.
• Lead process and requirements analysis, process mapping, stakeholder analysis, specification gathering, and project status reporting for complex projects.
• Independently analyze, design, configure, document, and communicate complex integrated application solutions using Epic and other applicable technologies.
• Coordinate application, compliance, development, and business process teams; facilitate cross-application workgroups and vendor changes.
• Organize workloads, mentor analysts, provide guidance on escalated issues, and maintain quality standards and customer relationships.

Requirements

• 5-7 years of experience within supported healthcare, business, or information systems.
• Detailed healthcare knowledge and systems expertise, with the ability to independently coordinate and lead projects.
• Expert understanding of assigned clinical or business operations, processes, workflows, application design, and configuration.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, develop functionality with little to no direction, mentor peers, and provide guidance to junior team members.
• Ability to adjust to and implement change, solve problems, multitask, work collaboratively, and manage multiple priorities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Excellent customer service, project management, written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Associate's or bachelor's degree preferred, focused on healthcare, business, or information systems; ability to present complex data using charts and graphs.
• For Epic Analysts: proficiency in the assigned Epic module or Epic certification upon employment; certifications and proficiencies must remain current through new-version training.

Nice to have

• Supervisory experience.
• Two or more years of project management experience or equivalent.
• Certifications related to the assigned area of focus.
