Manager, Claims Programs (Insurance)

What you will do

• Lead property and casualty claims programs for all brands with company restaurant locations.
• Manage third-party claims administrators and insurance carrier resources, including quarterly claims reviews, special handling instructions, and contractual TPA issues.
• Direct, oversee, supervise, and coach the claims management team to support accurate, efficient, and cost-effective claim resolution.
• Identify and implement continuous-improvement programs and processes, maintain claims analytics, and monitor assignments to balance workload and improve efficiency.
• Collaborate with Safety Programs, Training, Operations, HR Business Partners, and other stakeholders on safety initiatives, training, claims trends, and recommendations.
• Establish actuarial benchmarks, monitor claims performance, stay current on multi-state industry trends, confer with the Litigation Director on legal updates, and manage relationships with vendors, defense counsel, and other external parties.

Requirements

• College degree required.
• 5+ years of experience required.
• Proven knowledge and experience with multi-state workers’ compensation laws, rules, and regulations.
• Solid knowledge of dram shop, products liability, premises liability, and automobile liability laws, rules, and regulations.
• Advanced knowledge of insurance policies and terms, especially commercial general liability and automobile insurance.
• Demonstrated decision-making, negotiation, problem-solving, and process-improvement skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presentation experience.
• Basic knowledge of risk management and claim information systems.
