CL SR Claims Consultant (Commercial Lines)

Salary: $105,000–$130,000 per year

What you will do

• Conduct claims reviews, measure financial impact, and communicate findings and recommendations to commercial clients.
• Negotiate with carriers on special account instructions, claim denials, reservation of rights, and optimal coverage positions.
• Analyze loss trends, reserves, experience modifications, collateral, claim duration, severity, and total cost of risk.
• Develop action plans and support resolution of complex, high-exposure, and high-profile claims.
• Guide clients on litigation management, medical management, third-party administrators, and carrier solutions.
• Partner with risk control, analytics, and placement teams to develop comprehensive claims and risk-reduction programs.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in claims administration for a Commercial Lines agency.
• Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred.
• Detailed knowledge of multiple commercial coverage lines, including workers’ compensation, liability, property, or marine and energy; expertise in at least one line.
• Strong understanding of loss forecasting, experience modifications, reserve analysis, and collateral.
• Expert business, negotiation, data interpretation, written communication, and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present to C-suite stakeholders.
• Proficiency with internet-based programs and Microsoft Office; Property & Casualty license preferred.
