Workers' Compensation Claims Manager

Location: Remote; primarily performed in a remote or office environment. Occasional travel may be required, and the role may involve working across varying time zones.

What you will do

• Lead, develop, and support the workers' compensation claims team of approximately 12 professionals through a WC Team Lead.
• Oversee multi-jurisdictional claims, third-party administrator performance, service-level agreements, key performance indicators, and compliance.
• Improve claim outcomes across closure, return-to-work, litigation, reserves, reporting, settlements, and subrogation.
• Advise clients through claims strategy, status reviews, quarterly business reviews, reporting, and loss-control guidance.
• Partner with Safety, Client Success, Regional Teams, Sales, and senior leadership on claims trends, audits, and operational initiatives.
• Analyze claims metrics and risks while leading process improvements focused on efficiency, cost control, and service quality.

Requirements

• 8–10+ years of multi-jurisdictional workers' compensation claims experience, including TPA oversight.
• 3+ years of experience leading claims professionals.
• Advanced knowledge of workers' compensation litigation, settlements, reserves, and multi-state compliance.
• Training in workers' compensation claims, litigation, cost containment, and compliance.
• Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams, with strong communication skills.
• Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent workers' compensation experience may be considered.

• State workers' compensation adjuster license.
