Shipping Coordinator (Gas Services)

What you will do

• Prepare and process import and export documentation in SAP in line with UK and international customs requirements.
• Produce, validate, and manage Certificates of Origin, shipment requests, manifests, and supporting customs paperwork.
• Coordinate daily shipments and timely collections by approved freight forwarders.
• Book road, sea, and air transport, including specialist handling for out-of-gauge and heavy cargo weighing more than 70 tonnes.
• Manage Dangerous Goods shipments under ADR, IMDG, and IATA requirements while working with Customs and Export Control.
• Audit shipping invoices, investigate errors, track proof of delivery, and contribute to corrective actions and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Previous experience in shipping, freight forwarding, transport, logistics, or international trade, ideally in a customer-facing or operational environment.
• Good knowledge of import and export processes, customs documentation, and international shipping requirements.
• Experience working with freight forwarders and coordinating road, sea, or air shipments.
• Knowledge of Dangerous Goods transportation requirements, including ADR, IMDG, or IATA.
• Experience using SAP ERP or a similar logistics system and good Microsoft Office skills.
• Strong communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work across internal teams, Customs, Export Control, and external logistics partners.
