Sr. SW Engineer (Golden Gate, Replication)

Location: Hybrid in Denver, Colorado, United States; at least 3 days per week in the office. Travel required 5–10% of the time.

Salary: $112,100–$173,400 USD per year, with potential bonus and equity eligibility.

What you will do

• Design, build, configure, administer, and maintain unidirectional and bidirectional data replication schemas between HP NonStop mainframes and MS SQL Server and Oracle databases.
• Configure and troubleshoot Oracle GoldenGate Extract, Replicat, Trails, Manager, and Microservices components, including OGG23 in Windows and Linux environments.
• Support HP NonStop Guardian and OSS environments, including performance tuning, file-system operations, application troubleshooting, and work with tools such as FUP, PERUSE, SQLCOMP, ENFORM, and ENSCRIBE.
• Develop and maintain code, automation, test plans, technical documentation, architecture diagrams, operational procedures, and support guides.
• Participate in system design, architecture, code and design reviews, project estimation, stakeholder collaboration, and requirements analysis.
• Participate in on-call rotations and incident response, troubleshoot production issues, deploy fixes, and ensure compliance with security, audit, and operational standards.

Requirements

• 2+ years of relevant work experience and a Bachelor’s degree, or 5+ years of relevant work experience.
• Experience in technologies, software systems, or a directly related field, with a minimum of two years.
• Experience developing and/or implementing web-based or mobile applications, with a minimum of two years.
• Experience with system design and architecture, debugging and troubleshooting, code reviews, coding standards, test planning and execution, support requests, fix deployment, and software developer tools.
• Solid understanding of Oracle GoldenGate fundamentals, database replication technologies, and architectural engineering for high availability and disaster recovery requirements.
• Knowledge of developing back-end C and TAL code in the HP NonStop environment.
• Knowledge of MS SQL and Enscribe on HP NonStop for maintaining, modifying, and outputting data.
• Knowledge of systems integration, data structures, and data organization, management, and storage formats.
• Experience collaborating with Product, Test, DevOps, Agile/Scrum, and Waterfall teams.
• Experience with Jenkins and Bitbucket.
