Vice President Software Engineer (C++)

Location: New York, NY, United States; onsite at the New York office

Base salary: $150,000–$300,000 per year, plus potential discretionary bonus.

hirify.global’ Global Banking & Markets division is developing electronic market-making infrastructure for a new ETF business line.

What you will do

• Architect and build foundational trading infrastructure for a multi-phase ETF initiative.
• Develop high-performance trading systems and data infrastructure from scratch.
• Design bespoke low-level solutions involving memory management, concurrency, and performance optimization.
• Optimize high-volume, low-latency trading components and research infrastructure for very large data inputs.
• Maintain operational robustness while evolving the architecture for future international ETF expansion.
• Contribute to strategy decisions and collaborate closely with the broader team.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a STEM discipline, preferably Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or Engineering.
• 5–10 years of experience developing software architecture in C/C++.
• Expert-level C++ proficiency is mandatory.
• Experience architecting and building high-performance trading systems and data infrastructure from scratch.
• Strong low-level system design skills, including memory management, concurrency, and performance optimization.
• Ability to maintain high software quality and operational robustness in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to have

• Background in telecom, physics research, or mathematics research.
• Experience with high-performance research infrastructure and very large data inputs.
• Familiarity with statistics, data-science methodologies, Python, NumPy, or scikit-learn.
