Senior Technical Business Analyst (Dynamics 365)

What you will do

• Translate stakeholder and product requirements into user stories, acceptance criteria, functional specifications, technical considerations, and delivery-ready backlog items.
• Partner with product owners, developers, architects, testers, support teams, and business stakeholders throughout design, development, testing, release, and maintenance.
• Evaluate Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations configuration, integrations, data entities, workflows, security, reporting, and downstream dependencies.
• Support backlog refinement, sprint planning, system integration testing, user acceptance testing, defect triage, release readiness, and post-deployment issue resolution.
• Provide technical guidance for customer and field support questions, product integrations, infrastructure issues, and solution decisions.
• Prepare design documentation, walkthroughs, demos, stakeholder communications, and recommendations.

Requirements

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations modules, configuration, workflows, batch jobs, business events, and feature management.
• Ability to review technical designs, data mappings, security impacts, integrations, exception scenarios, and system dependencies.
• Understanding of data entities, Data Management Framework, OData, APIs, integration patterns, role-based security, and segregation of duties.
• Data analysis skills, including SQL interpretation, validation, troubleshooting, reconciliation, and reporting support.
• Experience with Azure DevOps or similar tools for backlogs, testing, traceability, defects, and delivery status.
• Clear communication and facilitation skills for technical and non-technical audiences.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of finance and operations processes, including GL, AP, AR, assets, cash, procurement, inventory, supply chain, order-to-cash, and procure-to-pay.
• Experience with D365 F&O architecture and development concepts such as X++, extensions, metadata, source control, CI/CD, and deployments.
• Exposure to Azure services, REST APIs, JSON, XML, authentication, Postman, Power BI, SSRS, Electronic Reporting, and dashboards.
• Experience with LCS, Power Platform, Dataverse, Dual-write, or D365 F&O–CE integrations.
• Relevant Microsoft Dynamics 365 certification and experience with ERP implementations, finance transformation, or production support.
