General Liability Claim Representative

Location: Home United States; fully remote

Salary: $90,000–$110,000 per year

What you will do

• Handle and supervise complex and litigated commercial general liability and property claims.
• Investigate coverage, liability, damages, and claims issues, and determine, evaluate, and resolve claims.
• Negotiate and settle large-exposure claims with contractors, public adjusters, attorneys, and other stakeholders.
• Direct and monitor defense counsel, attend mediations and settlement conferences, and provide monetary authority and settlement strategy.
• Establish and maintain reserves and payments, maintain a 100% pending and closing ratio, and prepare written status and large loss reports.
• Interpret policy contracts and apply relevant case law, statutory law, and Department of Insurance regulations.

Requirements

• 5–7 years of experience handling commercial general liability claims.
• Adjuster license required; New York license preferred or willingness to obtain additional licenses.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for working with diverse audiences.
• Superior time management, organization, documentation, prioritization, and deadline-management skills.
• Analytical, decision-making, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail capabilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively and independently with minimal supervision, take initiative, and follow through reliably.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment and maintain discretion with sensitive and confidential information.
• Ability to work effectively with key people at all organizational levels.
