Educational Designer III (STEM Education)

Location: Boulder, Colorado; open to in-person or hybrid work with approximately 3 days on-site and 2 days remote. All work must be performed within the United States, excluding U.S. territories. Domestic travel is required up to 6 times per year.

Hiring range: 105,550.00–131,940.00 USD annually.

What you will do

• Lead the vision, strategy, design, development, dissemination, and assessment of high-quality preK-12 STEM learning materials and educator professional development.
• Direct educational design projects and supervise an Educational Designer II while ensuring quality, accessibility, and inclusivity.
• Manage production budgets, project milestones, grant budgets, and sponsor communications throughout the grant lifecycle.
• Identify funding opportunities and lead or support federal and foundation proposals as Principal Investigator or project lead.
• Build partnerships with universities, scientists, and community organizations to support strategic goals and sponsor broader-impact requirements.
• Represent hirify.global's preK-12 capabilities through publications, conferences, educational outreach, promotional materials, social media, and newsletters.

Requirements

• Master's degree in education, educational or instructional design, STEM, or a relevant academic discipline, plus 5 years of relevant experience; or a bachelor's degree with 10 years of an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Expert knowledge of inclusive and accessible preK-12 STEM educational-material design, development, and evaluation.
• Experience designing web-based educational materials for diverse preK-12 audiences and advanced knowledge of teacher professional-development best practices.
• Advanced knowledge of Earth system science or scientific disciplines relevant to hirify.global research.
• Experience creating educational resources or professional development for early-childhood audiences aged 4–8.
• Ability to coordinate team members, track milestones, and manage project budgets on time and within scope.
• Knowledge of staff supervision, including setting performance goals and conducting performance evaluations.
• Successful experience writing, securing, administering, and closing federal and foundation grant proposals.
• Exceptional written, oral, and visual communication skills for educators, students, scientists, and administrators.

Nice to have

• PhD in education or STEM.
• Experience solving complex design and development problems in educational-material or professional-development projects.
• Experience solving systemic problems affecting program or project procedures.
