Group Leader High-Tech Assembly Eindhoven

Location: Eindhoven, Noord-Brabant, Netherlands; on-site production-floor presence required

Salary: €4,500–€6,500 gross per month, excluding holiday allowance

Develops and manufactures advanced technologies for semiconductor manufacturing, medical technology, energy, mobility, and other industries by combining engineering, electronics, and manufacturing expertise.

What you will do

• Lead, coach, and develop Team Leaders responsible for approximately 30–120 operators across different shifts, ensuring accountability for safety, quality, productivity, and continuous improvement.
• Manage 8–12 employees in supporting functions, including work preparation, service engineering, Technical and First Line Support, and quality.
• Translate operational targets into departmental plans, set priorities, monitor production progress, and adjust activities to achieve required output.
• Manage daily operations and report performance, progress, and risks to the Operations Manager.
• Optimize personnel, machine, and material allocation with the shop floor planner.
• Drive quality improvements, 5S, efficient ways of working, recruitment, performance management, employee development, and sustainable solutions to recurring operational challenges.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in a leadership role within a production or manufacturing environment.
• Experience leading Team Leaders, Shift Leaders, or employees in a comparable second-line management position is highly desirable.
• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in a technical or industrial engineering field, or an equivalent level gained through experience.
• Ability to lead through other leaders, develop people, create accountability, make decisions, set priorities, and take responsibility for results.
• Hands-on mentality and willingness to address operational challenges directly on the production floor.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to use production data to improve departmental performance.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect production teams and supporting departments.
• Strong understanding of quality processes in a high-complexity assembly environment, ability to recognize individual strengths, and a continuous-improvement mindset focused on structural solutions.
• Excellent command of English.

• Experience in high-tech manufacturing, complex assembly, mechatronics, or machine building.
