Travel and Expenses - Senior Manager

What you will do

• Lead, hire, and develop the travel and expense team, establish operating rhythms, review queues, and plan operational coverage.
• Own expense and corporate card approval queues, employee and manager queries, service levels, reimbursements, and coordination with Treasury across entities and currencies.
• Manage corporate and purchasing card issuance, limits, virtual cards, renewals, cancellations, transaction deadlines, card registers, and cardholder ownership.
• Own global T&E policies, exception processes, location-specific rules, travel rate caps, and compliance with HMRC, IRS, and other local tax requirements.
• Ensure accurate month-end T&E processing, GL coding, accruals, reconciliations, audit evidence, and checks for duplicate, fraudulent, or non-compliant claims.
• Reconcile HRIS, Payhawk, and Navan data; manage vendor relationships; support platform changes; and onboard acquired companies, new entities, and new countries to the T&E stack.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in travel and expense operations, including team leadership, ideally in a high-growth or multi-entity business.
• Hands-on experience with modern T&E platforms such as Payhawk, Navan, Concur, Expensify, Ramp, or Brex.
• Experience running corporate card programs across several entities and currencies.
• Solid understanding of month-end close, including accruals, reconciliations, and GL coding.
• Working knowledge of T&E tax treatment and compliance across the UK, US, and Europe.
• Track record of applying policy consistently with senior stakeholders while remaining helpful and approachable.
• Ability to manage approvals, reimbursements, card programs, controls, audits, vendor escalations, and cross-functional data flows.
