Director of Finance Systems (AI)

Location: Remote within the United States; currently not hiring in Hawaii

Compensation: $189,000–$244,965 in starting total cash, including base salary and bonus; equity is offered.

What you will do

• Own core finance systems, including NetSuite, Ramp, Zip, FloQast, and revenue reporting tools.
• Lead finance system launches, updates, requirements gathering, testing, cutover, stabilization, and support.
• Partner with Engineering, Product, Accounting, FP&A, Financial Operations, Procurement, and Analytics to build workflows and integrations.
• Define how Accounting uses AI agents, including their connection to NetSuite, permissions, human review, safeguards, and audit logging.
• Build and maintain IT general controls for user access, change management, system operations, and financial reporting.
• Improve the speed and automation of the accounting close while supporting scalable financial reporting.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in finance systems, accounting systems, or ERP administration, including hands-on ownership of NetSuite.
• Experience leading at least one finance system implementation or post-go-live stabilization.
• Experience designing, implementing, or maintaining IT general controls in an audit-ready environment.
• Experience governing a chart of accounts and building NetSuite reports or saved searches.
• Experience translating business needs into system workflows and integrations with Accounting, Procurement, Engineering, or Product teams.
• Ability to explain technical systems, risks, and tradeoffs clearly to non-technical colleagues.

Nice to have

• Experience building or deploying AI agents or automated finance workflows with permissions, human review, and audit logging.
• Experience with Zip, Coupa, Ramp, healthcare billing, or revenue cycle systems.
• Working knowledge of SQL, SuiteQL, Pigment, or Hex.
• NetSuite Administrator, ERP Consultant, CPA, or CISA certification.
• Background in a high-growth startup or digital health company.
