Front-End Web Engineer (React)

Location: Hybrid role based at the New York City headquarters.

Annual base pay: $89,000–$120,000 USD. U.S.-based roles may also include variable pay such as an annual bonus and restricted stock.

What you will do

• Build responsive front-end features for Paid Posts, the Flex Suite, advertising templates, and custom interactive applications.
• Develop modular, clean, maintainable, readable, and reusable HTML, JavaScript/TypeScript, and CSS/SASS components using modern frameworks such as React and Astro.
• Create fluid animations and interactive visual elements with CSS and web animation libraries such as GreenSock/GSAP.
• Translate creative mockups and requirements into functional web experiences in collaboration with Design, Product, Editorial, and project partners.
• Support performance, cross-browser compatibility, accessibility, debugging, technical-debt reduction, documentation, and Jira work tickets.
• Use Git and GitHub workflows, participate in code reviews, integrate AI-assisted developer tools, and develop technical skills through mentorship and learning projects.

Requirements

• 2+ years of front-end web development experience.
• Experience with HTML5, CSS3/SASS, JavaScript ES6+, and basic TypeScript.
• Familiarity with, or eagerness to learn, modern front-end frameworks, specifically Astro and Svelte.
• Knowledge of responsive web design, cross-browser compatibility, and web accessibility standards.
• Basic familiarity with Git version-control workflows.
• Strong attention to detail when debugging and troubleshooting front-end code.
• Clear communication, excellent interpersonal skills, and a collaborative mindset when working with designers and project managers.
• A digital portfolio is required; applications without one will not be considered.

Nice to have

• Exposure to web animation libraries such as GreenSock/GSAP or CSS animation techniques.
• Exposure to Google Ad Manager or advertising-technology integration patterns.
