Staff Frontend Engineer

Location: US Remote

Salary: $190,000–$230,000 per year for US-based candidates, plus potential equity; ranges may vary by location.

What you will do

• Lead the architecture of scalable, maintainable, and performant frontend solutions for pharmacy operations and customer order fulfillment.
• Define and execute a multi-quarter frontend architecture roadmap and break it into actionable engineering work.
• Establish shared frameworks, design patterns, coding standards, monitoring, incident response, and performance practices.
• Shape responsible AI adoption across software development while maintaining patient safety, quality, and maintainability.
• Mentor frontend engineers through pair programming, technical documentation, code reviews, and knowledge sharing.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, engineers, and technical leaders to deliver intuitive and reliable user experiences.

Requirements

• 10+ years of software engineering experience and a record of setting frontend technical direction across multiple teams.
• Experience building scalable web applications and services, preferably in a cloud environment.
• Proficiency with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, React Native, Next.js, and TypeScript.
• Working knowledge of Node.js, Docker, Kubernetes, Redis, monitoring, and CI/CD tools such as Datadog, GitHub Actions, or CircleCI.
• Hands-on experience using AI tools in engineering workflows, with strong judgment about their appropriate use.
• Strong problem-solving, strategic thinking, communication, collaboration, prioritization, and independent execution skills.
