Procurement Commodity Manager Flight Controls

Location: Getafe Area, Spain

Defence and space organization operating across multiple founding countries and supporting a broad portfolio of defence and space programmes through procurement, supply chain, and logistics.

What you will do

• Establish, implement, and monitor commodity strategies for the assigned perimeter and sub-commodities.
• Manage strategic supplier relationships, supplier development programmes, evaluations, financial analysis, and vendor management action plans.
• Lead multifunctional teams involving Engineering, Finance, PMO, Quality, Supply Chain, and related functions.
• Lead bids, tenders, supplier selection processes, negotiations, and supplier contract establishment and management.
• Lead procurement and value-creation initiatives designed to deliver synergies and savings.
• Assess market and technology trends, cost drivers, supply risks, material lead times, and make-or-buy options to secure cost-effective supply.

Requirements

• Degree in Engineering, Business Management, or an equivalent qualification.
• At least 5 years of experience developing sound skills and knowledge in procurement, engineering, services, and project or programme management.
• Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to persuade, influence, and convince.
• Experience working in a matrix environment with a proven record of successful stakeholder management.
• Ability to anticipate, assess, and mitigate risks.
• Excellent relationship-building, team-building, empowerment, motivation, and conflict-management skills.
• Negotiation-level English.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of SAP.
