ServiceNow Application Developer (ServiceNow)

Location: Remote; direct full-time W2 employment with hirify.global

What you will do

• Design and develop ServiceNow solutions across ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, CSM, and custom scoped applications.
• Build workflows and request fulfillment automation with Flow Designer, IntegrationHub, Process Automation Designer, catalog items, and approval routing.
• Develop maintainable server-side and client-side JavaScript, including Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, UI Actions, and UI customization.
• Build enterprise integrations using IntegrationHub spokes, REST/SOAP APIs, and MID Servers; maintain CMDB integrations, identification rules, and data quality.
• Implement Service Portal, Employee Center, custom portal experiences, reports, dashboards, and Performance Analytics.
• Participate in design reviews, documentation, upgrades, regression testing, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and collaboration with admins, BAs, and stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Five or more years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience.
• Strong JavaScript skills, including ES5/ES6 patterns used in ServiceNow.
• Deep expertise with Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, UI Actions, and UI Policies.
• Experience with Flow Designer and IntegrationHub.
• Hands-on integration experience using REST, SOAP, and MID Servers.
• Strong understanding of the ServiceNow data model and CMDB concepts.
• Experience with Service Portal widget development.
• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) credential.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.

Nice to have

• ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD).
• Certified Implementation Specialist credentials in ITSM, HR, CSM, or ITOM.
• Experience with Now Assist or GenAI Controller.
• Familiarity with App Engine Studio.
• Exposure to multi-instance ServiceNow environments.
