Air/Ocean Import Supervisor (Logistics)

Location: Laredo, Texas, United States; onsite full-time role.

What you will do

• Lead the air import team and supervise day-to-day operations, staffing, capacity, performance, coaching, onboarding, and continuous training.
• Monitor operational metrics, shipment milestones, process flow, compliance reports, root causes, service execution, dwell times, and customer service improvements.
• Ensure correct use of operational systems, analytics, reporting tools, SOPs, shipment records, correspondence, and invoicing instructions.
• Support financial performance through billing reviews, accounts receivable analysis, profitability monitoring, cost savings, credit policy compliance, and overtime control.
• Maintain customer relationships, document customer requirements, support retention and business growth, and respond to proposals, quotations, and information requests.
• Promote workplace health and safety and escalate unsafe conditions, incidents, and operational issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in foreign trade or equivalent education and experience.
• 4+ years of industry-specific experience and 2+ years of experience leading a team.
• Hands-on knowledge of air shipment operations and global logistics industry knowledge.
• Leadership skills focused on empowering, coaching, mentoring, and fostering a cohesive team environment.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, presentation, client, service provider, and employee influence skills.
• Operational excellence, customer satisfaction, efficiency, continuous improvement, self-direction, problem-solving, analytical, time-management, and project-management skills.
• Ability to work within standard procedures, guidelines, and office policies.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
• English and Spanish proficiency.
