Technical Program Manager (Industrial Controls)

Location: USA Remote & Travel; up to 30% travel may be required, including travel to client locations and company headquarters.

Salary: $144,000–$211,200 base pay annually, varying by job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

What you will do

• Lead end-to-end Industrial Controls workstreams for strategic customer NPI programs from design through launch support.
• Manage budgets, scope baselines, integrated master schedules, and program plans using Microsoft Project and Jira.
• Manage external controls vendors and systems integrators, including SOW governance, milestones, deliverables, and escalations.
• Maintain technical, vendor, manufacturing, schedule, and financial risk registers and drive mitigation actions to closure.
• Coordinate Product, Mechanical, Electrical, Controls, Internal Tools Software, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, and Field Operations teams.
• Lead technical, design, gate, and executive reviews and support prototype builds, validation, system integration, FAT/SAT, pilot builds, commissioning, engineering change control, BOM releases, and configuration management.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of related experience or equivalent work experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, including Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Systems, Software, or a related field.
• Experience delivering complex multidisciplinary electro-mechanical, robotics, automation, or industrial systems through the full NPI lifecycle.
• Experience taking complex hardware and software systems from concept through design validation, prototype builds, FAT/SAT, pilot lines, and production scale-up.
• Experience owning workstream budgets, scope baselines, integrated master schedules, and active risk registers.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Project, Jira, Confluence, Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Office.
• Experience managing external vendors, suppliers, and systems integrators, including SOWs, milestones, performance tracking, deliverable verification, and escalations.
• Ability to influence cross-functional engineering teams and resource managers without direct authority, with strong analytical, problem-solving, presentation, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to drive and/or fly to client locations and company headquarters.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Rockwell Automation and Studio 5000, Beckhoff, Siemens, industrial safety systems, or warehouse automation.
