Litigation Legal Counsel (Ecommerce)

Location: Paris, France. Hybrid work with 2 recommended office days per week; remote workation is available for up to 90 days per year in the EU, including up to 21 days globally.

Annual gross salary: €62,300–€84,300 EUR.

What you will do

• Manage litigation and pre-litigation matters involving regulatory, consumer, platform, content-related, privacy, and commercial or contractual disputes.
• Handle and streamline requests for information from authorities.
• Advise management stakeholders on litigation strategy and legal risks.
• Develop creative approaches to managing legal risks and resolving disputes.
• Coordinate outsourced legal counsel across the jurisdictions in which hirify.global operates.
• Work with Product, PR, Customer Support, and other business teams to identify and address legal risks and build compliance processes, training, and guidelines.

Requirements

• Experienced mid-level lawyer with a litigation background in a law firm and/or as in-house counsel, ideally in commercial, platform, and consumer-related matters.
• Experience managing multiple high-priority projects simultaneously.
• Experience managing high-stakes, complex litigation.
• Experience dealing with authorities, including requests for information and regulatory litigation.
• Excellent spoken and written English required.
• Skills, willingness, and initiative to own legal issues across multiple jurisdictions.
• Proactivity and attention to detail.
• Passion for technology-driven businesses.

Nice to have

• Qualification in one bar association.
• Platform-related litigation experience.
• Experience managing collective actions and/or European Court of Justice proceedings.
