Legal Counsel Principal Specialist (French Labour Law)

What you will do

• Support the preparation, negotiation, and drafting of company agreements and related legal documentation with HR and Employee Relations stakeholders.
• Advise on CSE information and consultation processes, including interactions with employee representatives and external experts.
• Provide guidance on collective labour matters, including reorganizations, workforce transformation, employment and skills planning, working conditions, and other employee-impacting projects.
• Lead cross-functional projects involving Legal, HR, and business stakeholders, ensuring alignment and timely delivery.
• Monitor French employment law and case law, provide pragmatic risk-based recommendations to management, and support individual employment matters when required.

Requirements

• Master's degree (Bac+5) in French Employment/Labour Law; DPRT, DJCE, or a similar specialization is advantageous.
• 5 to 10 years of employment law experience gained in a law firm and/or the legal department of a large international organization, ideally in the technology sector.
• Significant experience in collective labour relations, collective bargaining, and drafting company agreements.
• Strong project management skills and the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders across complex, cross-functional initiatives.
• Excellent legal drafting, analytical, reasoning, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Ability to work autonomously in a complex, fast-paced matrix environment and manage multiple sensitive topics while balancing competing priorities.
• Fluent French and professionally proficient English, written and spoken.
• Pragmatic, business-oriented, adaptable, discreet, reliable, and able to build relationships with HR teams, management, and employee representatives.

• Interest in technology and emerging trends.
• Knowledge of the Syntec Collective Bargaining Agreement (CCN Syntec).
