Software Development Intern (Image Processing)

Location: Germany, Munich; hybrid work model with time split between the assigned hirify.global site and off-site work.

Salary: Minimum annual base salary of €28,920 for work performed in Germany.

What you will do

• Develop and optimize classic and modern image processing, signal processing, and data compression algorithms.
• Validate software functionality, performance, and quality across hirify.global platforms.
• Work with engineers to integrate optimized solutions into customer applications.
• Contribute improvements to third-party and open-source libraries.
• Learn hirify.global processor architectures and use hardware-specific features to maximize application performance.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Programming experience in C.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Interest in software optimization, algorithms, and computer architecture.

Nice to have

• Experience with C++ and/or Assembly programming.
• Familiarity with image processing, signal processing, or data compression concepts.
• Knowledge of computer architecture and performance optimization techniques.
• Interest in low-level software development and hardware-aware programming.
