Software Lead Engineer (m/f/d) Smart Leveling System ECU (ASW/BSW) (Automotive)

What you will do

• Lead ASW and BSW development for a Smart Leveling System ECU from project launch through series production release.
• Provide technical leadership to the software development team and coordinate external development partners and suppliers.
• Manage supplier performance and conduct supplier monitoring according to ASPICE processes.
• Define, maintain, and approve software architecture and interfaces aligned with system, functional safety, and cybersecurity requirements.
• Drive software integration, debugging, verification, validation, and production release activities.
• Establish and operate automated build, integration, and test environments, collaborate with systems, hardware, safety, cybersecurity, and validation teams, and support AUTOSAR Complex Device Drivers.

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Automotive Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Proven experience leading software development teams and managing suppliers or engineering service providers.
• Several years of hands-on embedded software development experience.
• Strong knowledge of Functional Safety (ISO 26262), Cybersecurity (ISO/SAE 21434), and Automotive SPICE (ASPICE).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, software build automation, automated testing environments, embedded software architectures, and software integration processes.
• Fluent German at minimum C1 level and strong English communication skills at minimum B2 level, written and spoken.

Nice to have

• Software development and leadership experience within the automotive industry.
• Experience with suspension, air suspension, chassis control, or comparable automotive ECUs.
• Knowledge of Embedded C, AUTOSAR, and automotive microcontrollers such as Infineon AURIX or NXP devices.
