Software Development Intern / Working Student (Medical Robotics)

Location: On-site at the Magdeburg office, Germany. Available approximately 20 hours per week for a working student position or full-time for an internship.

What you will do

• Develop and extend a customized version of 3D Slicer.
• Develop software features for integration with Meta Quest devices.
• Design and implement simulation and interaction workflows in Blender and Unity.
• Test, document, and continuously improve software prototypes and system components.
• Collaborate with experienced engineers, developers, researchers, and clinical partners on medical technology projects.

Requirements

• Study Computer Science, Software Engineering, Medical Engineering, or a comparable subject; enrollment in a Master's program is preferred, while Bachelor's students may also apply.
• Programming experience, ideally with Python or Java.
• Familiarity with or interest in Meta Quest, VR/AR technologies, or spatial computing.
• Confident communication in English.
• Availability to work on-site at the Magdeburg office.
• Availability for approximately 20 hours per week for a working student position or full-time for an internship.

Nice to have

• Programming experience with C# and C++.
• German language skills.
