Senior Manager, Field Application Engineering (General Embedded Markets)

Location: Munich, Germany; ability to travel approximately 25% across EMEA.

Base salary: €102,400–€134,400 per year, plus commission, bonus incentives, and benefits.

What you will do

• Lead the EMEA Field Application Engineering team and support revenue growth for QNX platforms and services across robotics, medical, and industrial accounts.
• Build strategic technical relationships with customers and align QNX solutions with complex engineering requirements.
• Guide pre-sales and post-sales engagements, including demos, benchmarks, design reviews, and early development support.
• Oversee customer programs from concept through commercial release and act as a bridge between customers, R&D, Product Management, Engineering Services, Sales, and Marketing.
• Mentor Field Application Engineers, improve workflows and methodologies, and maintain competitive intelligence.
• Represent QNX at EMEA events, trade shows, webinars, and customer-facing technical sessions.

Requirements

• Experience managing technical sales or Field Application Engineering teams.
• Embedded systems expertise, ideally including RTOS, real-time programming, C/C++, or low-level development.
• Customer-facing technical experience connecting engineering and business needs.
• Familiarity with Linux development and modern embedded toolchains.
• Strong interpersonal skills across cultures and languages.
• Ability to travel approximately 25% across EMEA.

Nice to have

• QNX experience.
• Experience in medical, robotics, or industrial markets.
• Knowledge of competing RTOS solutions such as Wind River, Green Hills, or Vector.
