Sustainable Aviation Analytics Associate (Aviation)

What you will do

• Develop, improve, and apply analytical models and tools for sustainable aviation projects and aviation decarbonisation decision-making.
• Analyse, manage, and visualise varied datasets while maintaining robust, efficient, and well-documented analytical workflows.
• Use coding, automation, and emerging AI tools where appropriate to improve the quality and efficiency of analysis.
• Translate analytical outputs into clear findings and practical recommendations for clients and colleagues.
• Contribute to project delivery and business growth through research, report writing, proposals, new methods and services, industry relationships, articles, and conferences.
• Track developments in aviation markets, policies, methodologies, and practices and develop solutions to novel client challenges.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of relevant professional, academic, or research experience; relevant postgraduate research, including PhD experience, is considered.
• Proven quantitative and problem-solving ability, including experience processing, analysing, and visualising data.
• Experience using Python or another analytical programming language, or a strong interest and demonstrated ability to learn these tools.
• Strong research skills and the ability to identify and evaluate relevant data and evidence from academic literature and other credible sources.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant quantitative, scientific, engineering, economics, data, or policy-related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Excellent communication skills, including formal report writing, presentation, and client management, primarily in English.
• Strong analytical judgement, attention to data quality, assumptions and limitations, curiosity, and strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to learn quickly, expand skills and knowledge, and work effectively as part of a team.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of aviation, sustainability, energy, transport, environmental policy, or low-carbon fuels.
